Cocoon Upcycled Denim Patchwork Coat
This coat is special, as we love denim, we have tried to utilize the scrap pieces from the past collection and patch them to form a fabric and then stitch it to form this coat. An attempt towards Zero Waste, starting from Upcycling.
This is a reimagined designed coat inspired from Issey Miyake's dress creation from 1991 that is present in The Met Museum currently. There is no slashes in the entire garment; i.e. if yourip open it it will turn into a single cloth. This coat can be paired with a top and bottom; can also be styled as a dress.
Made with 100% Light- weight Cotton Denim Scrap pieces that are patched together.
Model's Height- 5"3
Concept Note:
Cocoon: Third Stage of Metamorphosis
In your 20s, you want to hide inside a Cocoon. Life feels confusing and a little overwhelming, well sometimes a lot, but it’s also the beginning of self-awareness and the willingness to transform.
